In the early morning hours of June 26, 2011, two carloads of white teens in Jackson, Mississippi, sought out a black man. James Craig Anderson, 49, had the misfortune of being the first black man the teens encountered. The group of teens apparently robbed and beat Anderson. One group of teens in a pickup truck then ran over Anderson. Disturbing surveillance video captured part of the attack.
Anderson died later that day. The driver of the pickup truck has been charged with capital murder.
